Director, Living with Advanced Illness Centre

Permanent, 0.8 FTE with benefits

Are you passionate about community-based mental health care? Are you an experienced clinician interested in providing supervision, training, assessment, intervention, and support?

The director has knowledge to access, implement, and evaluate a wide range of clinical care interventions to ensure the delivery of safe, ethical, and quality care. They are keen on building trusting, respectful, and collaborative relationships inside and outside of the organization.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a health care setting in a clinical or management capacity is required.

Child & Family Counsellor, Living with Advanced Illness Centre

One Year Term, 0.6 Temporary Part Time

Are you passionate about client and family-centered care? Are you an experienced counsellor guided by compassion and flexible to meet the needs of your clients in various locations?

The counsellor provides psychosocial grief counselling support utilizing a strong skillset of therapeutic modalities to support children, teens, young adults, and families faced with an advanced illness, through to end-of-life and death.

Minimum of 2 years counselling experience working with children, teens, and families. Preferably with grief and loss experience.

Practicums

Hospice Calgary, through its Children’s Grief Centre, offers a high quality, well-established, and supportive practicum program for students in their last year of a post graduate counselling degree.

Counselling Practicum for Masters Students
